Everyone wants somewhere to call HOME. Some place where you are accepted and loved, despite all of our differences and opinions, that place where we can walk into and just know that this is where I am supposed to be. We ALL know what it's like to walk in somewhere and instantly have the thought flash across our mind,"I don't belong here." I don't dress well enough, I don't fit in, too rich for me. It's an uncomfortable feeling that we really can't put our finger on until we escape that place and have some time to look at the situation from the outside in.
Some of us have been church attenders for so long that we've forgotten what it's like to be that person looking for HOME, needing to find the love of Jesus in the eyes of those we meet, and not a judgmental glance. Needing to find the love of Jesus in the arms that open to welcome you into HIS HOUSE, and not OUR CHURCH. After all, we don't own it, He does! And besides, we are only temporarily using it while He prepares us a place, REMEMBER? And since He owns it,He makes the rules and we as followers of Jesus must obey the rules. LOVE THY NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF. BE SALT AND LIGHT TO THE WORLD. LOVE YOUR ENEMIES.
The church needs to train our vision to see things from the INSIDE OUT, from inside the church to OUT to the world. And believe me, the world is looking at the church from the OUTSIDE IN. CONSIDER THIS-What do they see? See ya Sunday, Pastor cd.
